living water's history

Living Water Pentecostal Church of God has ministered in South St. Louis under two other names; Prechal Pentecostal Church and Southside Pentecostal Church of God. It also had two prior locations, having started on E. Davis Street, then moving to 8201 S. Broadway.

The name was changed to Living Water in 2005. The name was chosen because of the story in John 4:4-29 where Jesus encountered a Samaritan woman by a well and told her, "If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith unto thee, Give me to drink; thouh wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water." (John 4:10 KJV).

We exist to share the message to all that Jesus still offers living water to all those that thirst so that you will never thirst again. Our church motto is "Making every family part of the family of God". We minister to the entire family, drawing each member closer to God and to each other. We have been committed to the inner city of St. Louis for over 47 years with the message that Jesus Saves and Jesus Cares. We intend to continue to Love God and Love People until Jesus comes back.
